Supported Employment
All employees at Goodwill Engineering receive on the job training and support by qualified staff including specialist support from an Occupational Therapist and Speech Pathologist.
Goodwill Engineering has a yearly formal training schedule for all employees to participate in, with a wide range of topics from safety, to rights and responsibilities. All formal training is conducted in a modern fully equipped training environment.
To apply for a job at Goodwill Engineering there must be a suitable vacancy and you have to:
- be eligible to receive a Disability Support Pension;
- be aged 15 years and over;
- be able to work for a minimum of 8 hours per week;
- have undergone a pre-employment assessment by Goodwill Engineering's therapy staff to determine support needs. Employment will only be offered where Goodwill Engineering can provide the necessary support services directly related to accessing and carrying out work duties;
- have their application approved by Goodwill Engineering's Employment Committee

- Submit an application.
If Goodwill Engineering has a vacancy you can then
- Have a pre-employment assessment with Goodwill's therapy staff to determine your support needs.
- The employment committee at Goodwill will consider your application.
- You may be offered a 13 week work trial (If Goodwill cannot offer you a service we will assist in referring you to another service).
- At the completion of your 13 week work trial you may be offered a permanent placement if you and Goodwill Engineering agree this is your best option.
Wages
Goodwill Engineering has productivity and competency based wages, all wage assessments are conducted by the Commonwealth Rehabilitation Service (CRS) using the Business Service Wage Assessment Tool with the full involvement of the employee and their advocates.
Social
Goodwill Engineering have a social club. We have an annual calendar of events including monthly awards function, sausage sizzles, dinner dances and family picnics.

Goodwill Engineering is located on Victoria Road in Malaga, with a Transperth bus stop located at the rear of the building.
